Is that pronounced like Tuolumne?
Yes -- precisely. It's the Toulumne's slightly northern cousin. A bit less dramatic than the Toulumne, too. This is the North Fork.
Where is the trailhead?
north of highway 4, east of the Pacific Grade Summit, just East of the spot where the Mokelmne river crosses highway 4 in Hermit Valley.
