Rain, oh Yeah ...

I remember this stuff. It falls from the sky and gets everything wet.

So I got up this morning and looked out and -- guess what? The ground was wet. Ah, what to wear? Should I wear neoprene socks? Nah -- forgot to find those. Smartwool™ socks, Sugoi stretch tights, geeky 100% nylon explorer shorts from REI™, trendy 100% Merino Wool to die for pullover from SmartWool™. North Face™ Polartec™vest. Cannondale rain jacket. Louis Garneau helmet showercap™. Soppy when wet leather palmed soggy butt cotton backed gloves. Customized bike messenger bag.

8 sorta wet, somewhat warm and seem to dry out get wet in a hurry miles later, here we are, in the house with the remains of the day all hanging around the bathroom drying out and preparing for tomorrow. A pizza and a soak in the hot tub, warm conversation with friends, two oatmeal, a double espresso, and it's time for bed. This kinda day makes one tired and hungry.

Oh yeah…we’ve a gale blowing here on the Atlantic. Absolutely no riding – get blown right off the road. How about a swim?

Do you really have all that rain gear? We are taking donations here in the Old Continent. :-)

Gentlemen. I got good and wet, and it felt great. It was grand. I was splashing water on the cars in all the puddles. Even in some guys open window (not really).

Central California's not like Seattle or Juneau, where it's always wet. San Francisco can get hammered when it storms though -- with gale force winds and serious big rain.

I have driven my car through the ocean, and flooded rivers, and the bay floating into my parents garage.

Alberto -- I do. And that's not the end of it. I have wool pants and Gortex, and Marmot slickers. Every purchase I make is coloref in some way by how its going to be when it's wet/ Ruby has the really cool bike rain stuff though.

It rains a good 20 inches a year here, in the dry zones -- in the wet areas it can do that over a day or two. This area (uphill) was all originally redwood forest -- it rains a lot here.

Life is better when you go with the flow. ...

Rain flows downhill ... It's better to go downhill.

We're way below average precipitation this month in Minnesota. But I definitely prefer biking in snow to biking in rain....it's possible to bike through a snowstorm without getting wet, but I can't say the same for rain. But it sounds like you have enough gear to keep biking through the rain fun!
