A Mountain Bike ...

My son's Giant™. It is about 987% aluminum. so it must be light. It has a shock that works and two empty tires. Rumour has it that it came from Wal-Mart. No wonder it has empty tires ... and loose bits, like the crank and the headset. Otherwise it looks pretty fair. It will need a bit of adjustment here and there. I have to hand over my commuter next time I see him and we have a swap for the summer.
Now, I need some one to teach me how and where to ride it ... I hear that there are trails at waterdog lake.

WalMart doesn't sell Giants (to my knowledge anyway). I don't think Giant would allow their products there. Looks like a trustworthy mount!

According to my son it was Target. ... and it was about a hundred bucks new.

The Giant site classifies this as a "lifestyle" (what ever that means), and it looks like todaysa version would be under $500. At any rate -- it handles the city bumbs just dandy and reminds my of a mountain bike.

I am going to go test it out, now that it has real pedals and is a bit better dialed in.

Maybe at waterdog, where I used to play and swing on the rope swing into the lake, and smoke ... with those crazy girls in shorts and a volkswagen, after school, and me with those crutches for 12 weeks ... and turning off the wayback machine first ...

It's ready to roll so tomorrow I will take it to work.
